About the project

Alaska Electric Light & Power (AEL&P) provides retail electric service for approximately 17,000 customers in the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska using clean, renewable and low-cost hydropower. 10 Pound Gorilla was hired to deliver a robust, cohesive, and user-friendly website. AEL&P’s main goal was to reduce customer service calls with an intuitive, easy-to-use Self Service Portal (SSP) where customers could manage, pay and view accounts. 10 Pound Gorilla’s initial task was to implement a simplified user experience: from logging in, recovering passwords, updating account information and paying or viewing accounts. The newly designed process was simple, clean and informed users of issues they needed to address.

About the project

American Medical Technologists (AMT) enlisted 10 Pound Gorilla to create a new public-facing website. Given the extensive content spread across hundreds of pages, 10 Pound Gorilla designed and developed the website using structured content, offering a secure and efficient method for content editors to construct and handle content.

To enhance user experience and organization, a resource library was established for AMT. This centralized hub houses all educational material published by the organization and offers improved categorization and search capabilities. 

Implementing this resource library enabled AMT to transition content from legacy PDFs to page-based content within the library. This not only enhances SEO and analytics but also simplifies the long-term management of the content.

About the project

10 Pound Gorilla was enlisted to enhance design and development capabilities for the Aviation Property Network (APN), aiding in implementing new features and functionalities for their expanding property listing tool.

Entering an already established development project, 10 Pound Gorilla seamlessly integrated with the established team and project management systems and existing development architecture and quickly got to work developing the new features and functionalities outlined by APN. One notable addition was the development of a new account registration workflow with a self-serve subscription workflow, aiming to streamline processes for staff and end-users while minimizing manual account management for the APN staff.

The objective was to design and develop a custom website that mirrors the high quality, luxury, comfort, and overall excellence associated with Bishop Built. The website showcases a visually striking gallery featuring past projects completed by Bishop Built. Through large and tasteful imagery, the website serves as a valuable resource for Bishop Built to showcase their work and share their journey effectively.

About the project

10 Pound Gorilla was engaged to contribute to the development of a redesigned website for the California Transit Association (CTA). In collaboration with Euclid, CTA's association management software (AMS) provider, 10 Pound Gorilla facilitated integrations with the AMS to showcase content such as publications and events on the website. Using the structured content module 2sxc, we established a streamlined process for content editors to make website updates without requiring any coding knowledge. This approach ensures that content editors can modify the site while adhering to the CTA's brand guidelines, eliminating the need for them to worry about unintentional deviations.

About the project

Since 2007, 10 Pound Gorilla has been collaborating with the Colorado Cross Country Ski Association (CCCSA) to promote Colorado as the premier destination for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing.

In a recent development, we launched a new website for CCCSA that enhances and introduces new functionality to promote the member resorts affiliated with CCCSA. The newly designed resort pages enable the resorts to showcase their facilities and services. Additionally, members can participate in the annual Punch Pass program, fostering growth and encouraging repeat visits to the picturesque outdoor areas in the region.

Within the website, CCCSA promotes upcoming events, races, and shares educational material to their active users.

10 Pound Gorilla played a key role in consulting, designing, and developing the FlightLink web application, a groundbreaking initiative in the private flight industry that is transforming air travel through air pooling. FlightLink has established the largest invitation-only network of luxury air travelers, empowering aircraft owners to efficiently plan trips and sell extra seats, thus reducing overall costs per flyer. 

To meet FlightLink's business requirements, 10 Pound Gorilla created a robust application capable of handling various flight types, service levels, and booking requirements. This versatility ensures the platform's adaptability to the diverse needs identified by FlightLink. By offering significant cost savings of 50-90% on private flights, the tool provides immediate benefits for end-users.

About the project

Teaming up with Powered by WSI, 10 Pound Gorilla collaborated to create a Personal Impact Calculator for Greenpenny. The aim was to offer users a self-guided educational tool, allowing them to explore Greenpenny's dedication to sustainability. 10 Pound Gorilla designed and developed the calculator to enable users to calculate and visualize their environmental impact by choosing Greenpenny for their banking needs.

HRCA partnered with 10 Pound Gorilla to modernize its website and improve its content structure, ensuring a user-friendly experience for residents and visitors. The primary objectives were to enhance the website’s functionality, streamline access to community resources, and implement a design that reflects the vibrancy of Highlands Ranch while maintaining its branding. Our role encompassed project management, business analysis, UI/UX design, content optimization, and development. We communicated regularly with HRCA’s internal teams to create an engaging and intuitive digital presence.

About the project

In partnership with Powered by WSI, 10 Pound Gorilla worked together to create a new website for Lisle Savings Bank. The focus of the new website is on fostering community connections and building relationships with customers. By providing convenient access to online banking, regularly updating interest rates, and showcasing service offerings, Lisle Bank can concentrate on their core strengths—serving both their customers and the community.

About the project

The Michigan Brewers Guild collaborated with 10 Pound Gorilla to create a new public-facing website catering to two distinct user groups.  

For beer enthusiasts, MiBeer aimed to highlight and promote upcoming events across the state and implement a directory tool for locating brewers.

In addition, the Michigan Brewers Guild provides training and educational resources for individuals in the brewery industry. To ensure a consistent user experience, 10 Pound Gorilla assisted in designing and developing a new training and accreditation application within the website. 

By constructing a website that supports both user types, we've established a centralized hub for the Michigan Brewers Guild. This hub enables them to manage relationships with brewers, offer training and accreditation for individuals in the brewing industry, and promote brewers to beer enthusiasts.

10 Pound Gorilla designed and developed an elegant, flexible, responsive, and optimized website for MidSouth Building supply to feature their high quality work, spark ideas for customers, and  build trust in customers.

The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) engaged 10 Pound Gorilla to design and develop a new public-facing website and to architect and build a content management solution for the site. With a large number of active faculty members, it was crucial that content updates be quick, consistent, and user-friendly to avoid accessibility issues and to adhere to the NCSL brand standards. 

To enhance user experience, we implemented a robust search tool that allows end-users to find relevant content easily. The tool includes multifaceted search capabilities, enabling users to filter content by topics, publish dates, policy types, and resource types. 

Additionally, NCSL required a management system for promoting their various event, news posts, and supporting resources. We addressed this by developing a solution that utilizes structured content, simplifying the creation of detailed pages while maintaining a beautifully designed interface for an optimal user experience.

10 Pound Gorilla designed and developed a fresh website for Orchid Orthopedics. The new website prioritizes high visual impact and a well-thought-out content strategy, delivering high-quality pages that swiftly convey the sophisticated service offerings of Orchid Orthopedics to end-users.  

Incorporating new lead-generation tools on the site empowers Orchid Ortho to generate high-quality leads more efficiently than ever before. Additionally, a new resource library was created to facilitate the publication and promotion of technical documents, certifications, white papers, videos, and more, all from a centralized platform.

The Dentist Insurance Company (TDIC) enlisted 10 Pound Gorilla for website design and development consultation services for their upcoming website project. Collaborating closely with the TDIC team, 10 Pound Gorilla designed a unified and user-friendly website. The development team at 10 Pound Gorilla constructed the new website using DNN and structured content modules, providing an intuitive, speedy, and dependable method for managing and updating website content.

USAutomatic is a leading manufacturer of gate openers and access control systems in the United States. 10 Pound Gorilla was hired to design and develop the new USAutomatic website to deliver a polished website that effectively showcases the organization's products and services.

Our design highlighted the unique value propositions of USAutomatic as well as detailing each of their products and accessories for shopping clarity. Dedicated pages for different user groups were created to meet the web visitors needs.

10 Pound Gorilla developed a robust digital product catalog to provide documentation and specifications on products, accessories, and replacement parts.

About the project

10 Pound Gorilla was brought on to help advise, design, and develop a new website and booking engine for Verijet, a private aviation charter service. The primary goal for Verijet was to improve the end-user experience for booking flights and to offer a self-serve booking engine that would reduce call volume while increasing the number of booked flights.

10 Pound Gorilla worked closely with the Verijet product team, and through iterative design and regular stakeholder review, we were able to design and develop the new Verijet website and booking engine efficiently.

The Verijet booking engine was developed utilizing numerous pre-existing APIs that connect with internal flight operation systems to confirm flight availability and pricing. Once a flight is confirmed within the booking engine, we transmit flight details into the Verijet flight operation systems, allowing their internal sales and operation teams to manage the preparations, scheduling, and execution of the flight.

Verijet's booking engine allows users to book flights at any time during the day, which has enabled Verijet to expand as an organization with the increase in booked flights.

In 2023, we started the design and development of a native iOS and Android mobile app, which offers enhanced features and functionality, like push notifications and reminders for upcoming flights and the ability for Verijet to promote new deals and flight opportunities.
